Rocket Refinishing

A workshop photo series for Rocket Refinishing, focused on the hands, tools and preparation behind automotive refinishing. From careful masking around badges to machine polishing, the images bring the working process into view, with close details and wider workshop frames grounding the story in everyday craft.

Task

Document the practical work behind automotive refinishing, not just the finished surface. Give the technicians, equipment and preparation details a clear place in a cohesive set of workshop photographs.

Strategy

Pair technicians at work with close studies of masking, polishing and well-used tools. Move between wider context and precise details to make the process readable without relying on finished-car hero shots.

Design

Dark bodywork and workshop greys set the backdrop, punctuated by yellow tape and tools. Tight crops and selective focus draw attention to hands and surface textures, while wider frames retain the working context.
